Staff

Derek is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and serves as Pastor for Crestwood UMC. Prior to his appointment in Crestwood, Derek served as Associate Pastor at SMUMC River City Campus, and at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky, as Director of Student Ministries. During his tenure there he also headed up the Men's Ministry, Evangelism Team, College Ministry and Contemporary Worship Service. Derek has his Bachelor's in Communications from the University of Kentucky and Masters in Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  For fun Derek enjoys day trips with his family, golf, fishing, UK Sports and training for triathlons.
